Unofficial Cover for The Shadows That Listen Paperback

The Shadows that Listen

The Shadows that Listen is an unputdownable dystopian romantasy with a delicious slow burn romance, from debut author Louisa Carmody.

Perfect for fans of Crescent City and Shadowhunters.

Dystopian Fantasy Romance

“This is a dystopian romance unlike any I’ve read before. Carmody captivates you from the very first page with all the nostalgia of 2010’s fantasy (think Mortal Instruments!) and a delicious enemies-to-lovers romance that sinks its teeth into you. I could put it down!”

– Brooke Fast,
author of To Cage a Wild Bird

'
The Shadows that Listen plunges you into a world of angels and demons where both sides are equally monstrous. Carmody's prose is grippingly cinematic, studded with cat-and-mouse games and explosive combat scenes. Amara is my new favourite Action Girl! This fierce, compulsive read is softened by the judicious weaving through of a slow-burn enemies to lovers romance. A magical debut; I feel I have witnessed the beginning of a new legend"

– Brigitte Knightley,
Sunday Times bestselling author of
The Irresistible Urge to Fall For Your Enemy
